SunQuest Solaris Serves Up Dad’s Day Treat

by S. Lynne on June 10th, 2013

Still looking for something to give Dad for his special day? Even if he’s one of those guys who already has it all, he’ll appreciate being treated to the Father’s Day lunch and cruise aboard the SunQuest Cruises Solaris. Sailing from Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina, the Solaris will depart at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, for a two-hour trip that includes live entertainment and a fresh, chef-prepared meal.

Menu for the three-course meal begins with a fresh spinach and romaine salad topped with hot bacon dressing, followed by a choice of entrees: seared beef filet au poivre topped with sauteed shrimp or jumbo lump crab, herb-roasted half chicken, seared Gulf catch of the day, Gulf shrimp saute, or spinach and mixed-cheese ravioli. The meal ends with the chef’s choice of dessert.

There’s a children’s menu as well, plus a full-service bar. Cost of the meal, which includes iced tea or coffee, is $55 per person for adults, $25 for children aged three to ten, and $15 for children under three.

The Solaris is a 125-foot, three-deck, 5,200-square-foot yacht that offers dinner-dance cruises year-round and is also available for weddings, reunions, corporate meetings, and other special events by reservation.
