Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
Despite it being the second week of January, I have yet to make my New Year’s Resolution List (unless you count the never-accomplished, rollover resolutions from last year’s list)!
I decided that there are so many things I want to do, see, and experience right in my own backyard. Something more realistic to accomplish than learning French (yes, this was on my Resolution list at one time).
(I saw this sign at Kilwins at Grand Blvd. right after New Years and thought it was perfect for me!)
–Deep Sea Fishing (Never been, love fresh seafood, and can’t wait to wear a pair of galoshes)
Fort Walton Beach Charter Fishing
–Spend a weekend in Apalachicola/St. George Island
I love, love, love oysters and most of our oysters along the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach coastline travel here from Apalachicola, FL. I’d be one happy girl to be sampling oysters all day along Florida’s Forgotten Coast. A great place to go scalloping, too. Never been, but diving to try (get it? because you have to dive for scallops! o.k., I tried!).
Kayak, hike, or yolo my way through the coastal dune lakes and state parks. Although I have lived in this area for quite some time, I’m embarrassed to admit I do not know the history of my beautiful town. Perfect for families!
Spend a Weekend in Gulf Shores
I had the most amazing time in Gulf Shores last summer. It was my first time and it certainly won’t be my last. Lulu’s (Jimmy Buffet’s sisters restaurant) will be having their 7th Anniversary Celebration and Boat Parade in March. I spent many hours at Lulu’s sampling (ok, not sampling, guzzling) Landsharks and talking with the nicest people. Can’t wait to go back!
I will be updating my list of Resolution To-Do’s throughout the next couple months. After all, for the first time in years, I will have accomplished my Resolution list and will need to add more!
Wish you were here!
