Coastal Living Cover Shot at Sandestin Beach Resort
Destin gets a turn in the national spotlight when the October issue of Coastal Living hits the newsstands. October’s cover photo, staged and shot at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, features pumpkins carved in sea-inspired designs, resting on the sand with the Gulf of Mexico in the background. Inside the magazine is a two-page spread showing the creatively carved pumpkins arranged on Sandestin’s Horseshoe Bay dock at sunset. The photos were shot by well-known photographer David Hillegas.
Styling for the photos was done by Julia Rutland, senior food and entertainment editor for Coastal Living. To celebrate the season and the October issue, Rutland will be at Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina Grille on Saturday, October 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for a special magazine autograph signing. Everyone is welcome to come by and get a signed copy of Coastal Living, then linger to sip a cocktail and watch the sun go down over Choctawhatchee Bay.
