And wine lovers will have a great opportunity to sample some of the best at the upcoming Sparkling Wine and Holiday Lights tasting, hosted by the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. This festive weekend event is the official prelude to the popular Sandestin Wine Festival, which will return for its 30th season in April 2016.

Scheduled this year for Saturday evening, November 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., this popular Sandestin sparkling wine tasting event will include live music, the first Christmas tree lighting of the season, and the Village’s choreographed light show, 12 Nights of Lights.

“This event will really get you in the holiday spirit as carolers roam the streets, lights accent the decorative Village storefronts, and we kick off the season with the first 12 Nights of Lights Show and Tree Lighting,” said special event manager Julie Stuckey. “We tend to think of our sparkling wine event as the grown-up sneak peek of our holiday festivities inside the Village.”

The wine tasting will feature 30 different Champagnes and sparkling wines, plus complementary appetizers served by participating Village restaurants. “We invite everyone to come to this very popular event, sip a little bubbly, and sample great food pairings,” said Stuckey.

Advance tickets cost $40 per person and come with a commemorative glass. (Tickets will also be available at the door for $50 per person.) For details and to order tickets, visit www.sandestinwinefestival.com.
