Giving back to the kiddo’s

by The Hometown Tourist on May 10th, 2010

This Mother’s Day weekend was filled with goodness!   Aside from the fact that this was an amazing beach weekend, we (myself and my daughter) made our way to Rosemary Beach to volunteer at the annual Cottages for Kids fundraiser.   Taking place every weekend in May, the Cottages for Kids raises money for the Children’s Volunteer Health Network, a non-profit organization providing health care for children in Walton and Okaloosa Counties.   The cottages are for the little people but I witnessed just as wide of smiles on the big people, whom I saw playing and exploring inside the cottages.   If you’re visiting the beach in May, stop by and play in the cottages, or purchase one for your own backyard!   It’s for a great cause and you’re status with the neighborhood children will quickly elevate!

Hoping your weekend was filled with good memories!

Wish you were here!
